The last time these two sides met, which was earlier in this competition, the Bengaluru Bulls managed to win with a comfortable margin of 48-37. It was the performance of Pawan Kumar Sehrawat that lit up the night as he scored an incredible three super raids in one night. No one else in the tournament has managed to score three in total so far, just to give you an idea of what he achieved.
Sehrawat will be watched closely by everyone following Pro Kabaddi 6 to see if he can come anywhere close to that kind of performance again.
Sehrawat will have help from Rohit Kumar, Anand V, and Sumit Singh amongst the raiding unit while the defense will be led by Nithesh BR, Sandeep, and Jasmer Singh Gulia.
The Bengaluru Bulls would love another win to really get their campaign off to a good start but they will be facing a better prepared Tamil Thalaivas team this time around.
The Tamil Thalaivas would be a little disappointed and perplexed to find themselves in the poor position that they are in. They have lost four out of their five games even after having some outstanding individual performances. Ajay Thakur, their skipper, is having a season to remember.
Thakur has 59 raid points to his name, and 60 points scored in total, already. That’s well ahead of what anyone else has managed so far. On the defensive side, Manjeet Chillar has 16 tackle points, again the joint most for the season so far, but the team is still struggling.
This puts into perspective the importance of the entire team pulling its weight in kabaddi because individual brilliance can only take you so far. The Thalaivas also have the very impressive Amit Hooda to shore up the defense and Athul MS to boost the raiding prowess of the side.
If only some of the peripheral players come into their own and the right strategy is executed, the Tamil Thalaivas could yet be a team to look out for.
The Bengaluru Bulls won their last match against the Tamil Thalaivas and extended their winning record against them to 3-1. The confidence that this historical dominance will provide the Bengaluru Bulls cannot be underplayed. Crucially, though, the Tamil Thalaivas have to believe that they are more than just a side with a few individually brilliant players.
We are going for the underdog in this contest and backing the Tamil Thalaivas to win. The time off would have done them some good and allowed them to assess things from a different perspective. They have the class to bounce back and win this game for sure.
Back the Tamil Thalaivas to win.
