Match Analysis

It was the big boys from the Bengal Warriors side that came to the party in the last match. Maninder Singh scored 12 raid points while Surjeet Singh got himself a High-5 as well. It was a very good performance on a night where they were tested quite severely by the Telugu Titans at certain points in the match.

Maninder Singh also became the fastest player to reach 50 raid points in Pro Kabaddi history.

This upcoming match against the Bengaluru Bulls is going to test the Bengal Warriors. Maninder Singh will know he has to be at his best again to get enough points to outscore the trio of raiders on the Bengaluru Bulls side.

He will be buoyed by the fact that the Bengaluru Bulls don’t have the best defense and can be put under pressure.

The defense of the Bengal Warriors is quite strong as well. Rann Singh and PO Surjeet Singh have been in excellent form over the last few weeks and will be looking forward to the challenge of shutting down an explosive Bengaluru Bulls side.

This contest between the Bengal Warriors defense and the raiding unit of the Bengaluru Bulls is going to determine the outcome of the match.

The Bengaluru Bulls looked certain to finish at the top of Zone B during the mid-stage of the tournament. They could not quite maintain their early momentum and ended up ceding ground to the chasing pack.

They now are within the grasp of the Bengal Warriors.

Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, Kashiling Adake, and Rohit Kumar are the three raiders that have led the Bengaluru Bulls to great heights this season. Pawan Kumar Sehrawat is averaging more than a Super-10 per game and has been absolutely brilliant.

Rohit Kumar has also led the side from the front while Kashiling Adake is one of the best backup raiders to have in your side.

There is no question about the quality of this raiding unit. The only question has been about the defensive capabilities of the Bulls. We think they are a little vulnerable and are going to be tested by an in-form Bengal Warriors side.

Key stat

With just two wins from their last five matches, the Bengaluru Bulls have not been the force they were in the first half the PKL. The Bengal Warriors, on the other hand, have been in excellent form and have won four out of their last five matches.

Verdict

The Bengal Warriors will definitely have the momentum going into this match. They have been playing very well at home and the form of their senior players is very encouraging as well. The Bengaluru Bulls have been stuttering and something seems to be missing from that side at the moment. The contest between these two sides should be close, however, the home side has an advantage.

Back the Bengal Warriors to win.
