Bengal Warriors
The Bengal Warriors have been undefeated in their last three matches. Two wins and a tie in these matches have left them full of confidence and they are finally playing to their potential. As the most accomplished raiding team in PKL 2019, the Bengal Warriors have a lot of options at their disposal.
Maninder Singh is the obvious leader of the pack but the firm that K Prapanjan has shown is not to be underrated either. With the impressive Iranian, Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh also in the side, the Bengal Warriors are a terror to defend against.
Baldev Singh is the best raider for the Bengal Warriors along with Jeeva Kumar. Both of these players are going to be quite confident of shutting down Pardeep Narwal in this upcoming encounter. The only thing the defense has to be careful about is unforced errors. Rinku narwal, in particular, can be guilty of that.
Patna Pirates
The Patna Pirates run of three losses was finally halted only for the side to immediately lose against U Mumba in the next match. Four losses in the last five matches have put the Patna Pirates in a tough spot.
Pardeep Narwal is scoring points for the team but he is not as effective or as impactful as some of the other leading raiders in PKl 2019. His days of carrying the side on his own shoulders are coming to an end.
This is why the other Patna Pirates raiders need to pull their weight.
We are looking at Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou to make a statement in this match. He was pretty good against U Mumba and will want to build on that performance.
The Patna Pirates defense is good thanks to the brilliance of Jaideep but once again, support is not very consistent. Hadi Oshtorak and Ravinder have been good in patches but they seem unsure of when the best time to go at the raiders is and when is the time to hold back.
The Patna Pirates have a 9-3 advantage over the Bengal Warriors after 15 matches between the sides. Three of the remaining matches were ties.
The Bengal Warriors are one of the strongest sides in the tournament and are finally finding some consistency in their playing. We think it is going to be very difficult for an out of form and struggling Patna Pirates to be able to stop them.
