Dabang Delhi K.C.
The team at the top of the heap and in scintillating form, Dabang Delhi K.C. is going to be very hard to stop. Naveen Kumar now has ten consecutive Super-10s to his name, a PKL record that grows with every match.
However, it is not just his points that have been impressive. It is the manner in which he gets the points during the crunch times that makes him so special. Naveen Kumar dragged Delhi from a near unwinnable position to victory in the previous match against the Jaipur Pink Panthers.
It was breathtaking to see and we hope he can continue to make this PKL 2019 season his own. He is going to be helped by Chandran Ranjit, Vijay, or Meraj Sheykh as needed.
Ravinder Pahal and Joginder Narwal are in the defending form of their lives. Add Vishal Mane and Saeid Ghaffari to that lineup and you can see why Dabang Delhi is so dominant right now.
Haryana Steelers
The Haryana Steelers have emerged as the second-best side of the PKL ever since Vikash Kandola returned to the side. He is in as good form as Naveen Kumar and is going to make life very difficult for the Delhi defense.
It is going to be fascinating to see the manner in which Vikash approaches this match. He has been at his best while baiting the defense and getting them to make mistakes but he may need to be more aggressive against Delhi.
Prashanth Kumar Rai and Vinay must step up for the Haryana Steelers to help them get some momentum against Delhi even if Vikash Kandola is off the mat.
The defense will be led by Dharmraj Cherlathan in his new aggressive avatar while Ravi Kumar and Vikas Kale will play central roles as well.
The Haryana Steelers have a 5-2 lead over Dabang Delhi K.C. in traditional head to head encounters. That stat is a little skewed due to the poor form that Delhi showed during the initial few seasons of the PKL.
This is a tough match to call and we could be seeing a very close encounter between two similar styles of playing Kabaddi. The edge has to be with the league leaders, though, thanks to Naveen Kumar and his unstoppable run of scoring points.
