Dabang Delhi K.C. has been quite impressive in its last few matches even though it ended up on the losing side against U Mumba. The side has been getting off the blocks very quickly and is able to establish a good lead by halftime. Against the Jaipur Pink Panthers, in the first match of Delhi’s home leg, Dabang Delhi K.C. managed to get the biggest lead at halftime for any team this season of the Pro Kabaddi League.
Naveen Kumar scored 12 points against U Mumba and added to his impressive tally of raid points this season. The rookie has been very impressive and is going to be the main threat against Puneri Paltan as well.
Dabang Delhi K.C. is not as dependent on its lead raider as some of the other sides, though. It also has Meraj Sheykh and Chandran Ranjit in excellent form to contribute with crucial raid points at different times of the match.
Having three in form raiders ensures that the pressure is never let off.
Puneri Paltan has had a hard time in the PKL without Nitin Tomar. It has been difficult getting points without the best raider of the side but Puneri Paltan has somehow managed to cling on to the third place.
Here is the thing. Puneri Paltan has recorded just one victory in its last six matches and that too required an unbelievable comeback against the Haryana Steelers. That sort of a result is not going to come about too often.
More GB, Girish Maruti Ernak, and Sandeep Narwal have to be the players to lead this Puneri Paltan side out of its slump. Playing against an in-form Delhi side at home is not going to be an easy task.
Dabang Delhi K.C. has won four out of its last eight matches while Puneri Paltan has managed just two wins in its last eight matches. Neither side can be said to be at the top of its game right now.
Puneri Paltan has the advantage of being well rested coming into this match while Dabang Delhi K.C. is smack in the middle of its home leg. Playing back to back matches can be difficult but this important match should help rouse the home side.
Back Dabang Delhi K.C. to win.
