The real threat to u Mumba will come from Sachin. He has 88 raid points in just 11 matches and is very difficult to guard. With three Super 10’s to his name and as the leading Do or Die raid point scorer for Gujarat, Sachin will be tasked with piling on the pressure on U Mumba.
His personal rivalry with Siddharth Desai could also be a factor in this match.
Siddharth Desai has been sensational for U Mumba. He is leading the PKL in raid points this season with 131 to his name. Most of all, though, Siddharth Desai is full of confidence and backs himself to come good in any situation.
Some people have called Desai’s style of play reckless and arrogant but we think he redefining what a raider of his quality can achieve in Pro Kabaddi.
With 57 tackle points to his name, Fazal Atrachali leads all other defenders in that category. He is the backbone of the U Mumba defense and will be very important in this match. Atrachali was rendered ineffective the last times these two teams met and that was a huge reason for U Mumba’s loss.
The Gujarat Fortunegiants have never lost to U Mumba in the previous four occasions they have met. The Gujarat Fortunegiants also just lost its very first match at home in the PKL.
These are two formidable teams that respect each other's capabilities. The fact is that the Gujarat Fortunegiants would be physically drained at the end of its home leg while U Mumba is going to be well rested.
