The Patna Pirates and U Mumba are the two most successful teams in Pro Kabaddi History. The Patna Pirates have won three titles and one side from these two has always been a part of the Grand Final in the past.
This has meant that these two teams have had a fierce rivalry which has been contested pretty evenly. Pardeep Narwal continues to show he has been MVP of the league for two years now as he registered his 33rd Super 10 in Pro Kabaddi history, the most for any player ever.
The other raiders in the side like Manjeet, Jawahar Dagar, and Vikas Jaglan will be hoping to step up their game as well. Stopping the U Mumba raiders, though, will be one of the most important aspects in this game for Patna Pirates. Kuldeep Yadav, Vijay Kumar, Jaideep, and Ravinder Kumar will have their hands full trying to contain one of the best attacks we have seen this season.
U Mumba has been the form team of the tournament so far. They have managed to put together a squad of experienced campaigners with some of the most exciting rookies in the league. Siddharth Desai, for example, has led the Raiding unit for U Mumba in his debut Pro Kabaddi season.
With Raiders like Abhishek Singh, Rohit Baliyan, and Abolfazl Maghsodloumahali in the squad as well, U Mumba has plenty of attacking options to throw at the Patna Pirates. The experienced Fazl Atrachali leads the U Mumba side and has been a rock of their defense as well.
Atrachali and Dharmaraj Cheralathan are the two most important cogs in the defense and will be tasked at keeping the Patna Pirates quiet.
A historical record of 6-4 and one tie in favor of the Patna Pirates demonstrates that the traditional rivalry between U Mumba and the Patna Pirates has been closely contested. The current form of U Mumba has been better coming into this match but we expect the Patna Pirates to raise their game for this encounter as well.
The U Mumba side has the edge when it comes to having the better offense but we believe the defense of both sides is pretty evenly matched. The Patna Pirates have the experience needed to overcome U Mumba and will have a boisterous crown egging them on. We think the defending champions are the team to back in this match.
Back the Patna Pirates to win.
