The Telugu Titans have struggled after starting the season quite decently. They are different from the other teams in that they are very strong defensively but don’t necessarily have depth in radiing that some of their competitors possess.
The Telugu Titans have won 5 and tied one of their 13 matches this season. More impoartantly, they have lost their last four matches on the trot. This loss of form comes at the worst time possible for the Telugu Titans and hopefully some home support can help change things around.
Vishal Bhardwaj and Abozar Moajermighani are the players that the backbone of a strong Telugu Titans defense while Rahul Chaudhari is the person who has to gte the majority of the raid points for his side.
The side does well when the defenders are on song and they are able to break down the attacks of the opponents. If they conceded a big lead, though, then they find it difficult to claw back. Rahul Chaudhari has 98 raid points this season and has been in good scoring form over the last few matches but he does not have the support of an aggressive raider.
If Gujarat can keep Rahul Chauidhari off the mat for a prolonged period of time then their battle is all but won.
The Gujarat Fortunegiants are a prime example of a defensive oreiented side that has some high-quality raiders to call upon themselves. In a lot of ways, the Gujarat Fortunegiants are the side that the Telugu Titans aspire to be.
Locked in a battle for the top sopt in Zone A with U Mumba, the GUjarata Foirtunegiants have been phenomenal this season. Parvesh Bhainswal has been the lead defensive player for the side and has marshaled his side brilliantly on the mat.
He is helped by the fact that he is a part of a very talented defensive set up. The Gujarat Fortunegiants have 198 tackle points to their name, the second best in the Pro Kabaddi League right now.
Scoring points has also not been a problem thanks to the emergence of their rookie raider, Sachin. His ability keep probing the opposition and eliciting mistakes makes him a real treat to watch. The Gujarat Fortunegiants just need to keep doing what they have been this PKL and not change up too many things.
The Gujarat Fortunegiants and the Telugu Titans have played each other just once in the PKL. That match was won by the Gujarat Fortunegiants.
It is very difficult to see the Telugu Titans making a return to form in this match. While the bside has a strong defense that is capable of stopping Sachin and company, their own raidin unit is going to be up against a highly skilled defensive side.
With the problems that the Telugu Titans have had in scoring points, we don’t see them being able to exert enough pressure on the Gujarat Fortunegiants in this match.
Back the Gujarat Fortunegiants to win.
