The Telugu Titans put in a spirited performance against the Jaipur Pink Panthers. They seemed to have learned from their mistakes against the Gujarat Fortunegiants even though they did threaten to fall back into the same habit at one point of time.
Eventually, though, an exceptional performance from Abozar Mohajermighani and Vishal Bhardwaj sealed the victory for the Telugu Titans. Astoundingly, the start of the match was riddled with errors from Abozar and Vishal Bhardwaj.
It was Anil Kumar who scored the most tackle points for the Telugu Titans before the experienced Telugu Titans corners took over towards the end of the match. As far as the raiding responsibilities go, The Titans did not depend on Rahul Chaudhari alone but allowed Nilesh Salunke the opportunity to make an impact on the game.
As a result, Rahul Chaudhari seemed almost sidelined in the game while Salunke top scored with 8 raid points. We think this slight snub is both a reflection of Chaudhari’s poor form and the fact that the Telugu Titans want him to fight for a dominant place in the side.
The Haryana Steelers may be the side at the receiving end of a rejuvenated Rahul Chaudhari.
The Haryana Steelers are a very good raiding side. They have Vikash Khandola who is having his best ever season of the PKL and Monu Goyat whose class is unquestionable to lead the offense. Both of these raiders are going to be up against a solid defensive side.
We think that Vikash Khandola has been at his best when given the license to be aggressive and not worry about just bagging the bonus points. Kuldeep Singh is a good enough defensive player to stop the Telugu Titans offense but he must be able to spend adequate time on the mat.
The Telugu Titans ended their 5 match losing streak with a win in the last match. The Haryana Steelers have been in similar bad form with two wins in the last five matches. The Telugu Titans, though, still have a chance to make it to the Super Playoffs and that is a huge motivating factor.
The Haryana Steelers have the offense to try and get past the arguably the best defense of the PKL. This contest between the Haryana Steelers raiders and the Telugu Titans defense is going to decide the outcome of the match.
We are backing the home team in this match though because it seems like the Telugu Titans are really feeding off the energy their vociferous crowd support is providing.
