Telugu Titans
The Telugu Titans came into this season with high hopes of being able to dominate on the raiding front. They went all out in the auction to get Siddharth Desai and then paired him up with Suraj Desai.
The only game in which the both of them were effective was against Dabang Delhi K.C where they came close to getting the Telugu Titans a win but on the whole, their performance has been disappointing.
Now, against UP Yoddha, the Telugu Titans have an opportunity to make the most of some defensive holes that have crept into the UP Yoddha side. There is no way around it, Siddharth Desai must start playing like we all know he can otherwise the Telugu Titans are going to keep on struggling.
The defense for the Telugu Titans has not been very good either. Abozar Mohajermighani has not been able to display the kind of clinical defense we are used to seeing from him. Vishal Bhardwaj has been very good but he is lacking the support on the mat.
The Telugu Titans need to shake things up otherwise they could have five losses in a row very soon.
UP Yoddha
The return of Rishank Devadiga to the mat helped UP Yoddha regain some of its offensive edge that was missing in the first few games. Monu Goyat and Shrikant Jadhav also played well but it was clear that UP Yoddha needs to have that three-pronged attack on the mat because neither one of the raiders is in prime form to carry the entire side alone.
We like the chances of this UP Yoddha side against the Telugu Titans defense. The three raiders are all very astute and strong technically and we expect them to take advantage of any lapses that the Telgu Titans make.
The defense for the UP Yoddha is completely dependent on Nitish Kumar at the moment. Sumit got a high-5 in the previous match but it is Nitish who is leading the defense on the mat and orchestrating the entire side.
If UP Yoddha can continue to defend well then we think they have the raiding unit to be able to win another match on the trot.
The head to head between the Telugu Titans and UP Yoddha is in favor of UP Yoddha 4-1 with one additional match tied.
The Telugu Titans are spiraling. They are not being able to find the best from their raiders and everything else is falling apart. We don’t think Siddharth Desai has fully recovered from his shoulder surgery yet and think he will continue to struggle.
