U Mumba managed to beat one of the best sides in the competition without needed to use its best raider, Siddharth Desai. That shows the kind of depth that U Mumba possesses right now and that should be scary for everyone else in the league.
Siddharth Desai could come back in for this match although now that U Mumba has solidified its place at the top of the table, it could look to give its star raider some more time to recover from his niggles.
Darshan Kadian took up the responsibility of leading the U Mumba attack in the last game and did very well. He scored 9 points, narrowly missing out on a Super-10, and showed very good mat presence in the entire match.
U Mumba also has Abhishek Singh to call upon on to help manage the raiding duties.
The last match against the Bengaluru Bulls showed how important the U Mumba defense has been in its success. The combination of Fazel Atrachali and Surender Singh proved to just a bit too much for the most prolific scoring side in the tournament.
For a change, Atrachali was actually outdone by Surender Singh who pulled out some match winning tackles towards the end of the match.
The Tamil Thalaivas are going to have their hands full trying to get past U Mumba. They will be hoping that Ajay Thakur, Sukesh Hegde, and Athul MS are able to provide the offensive boost the side needs to outscore U Mumba.
Ajay Thakur is one of the most experienced raiders in the league and has had a pretty good season so far. The support that he has got in the raiding department has been inconsistent and that is something the side will need to work on.
Manjeet Chillar is a key player who can contribute on both ends of the mat. He, along with Amit Hooda will also play a very crucial role in trying to keep the awesome U Mumba defense quiet. The Tamil Thalaivas are up against it in this match but attack seems to be the only option at their disposal.
No team has scored more points than U Mumba this season. They have the most Do or Die Raid points, the most Raid points, the most all-outs inflicted, and the most tackle points as well. It is clear why they are dominating this league at the moment.
