U.P. Yoddha was outstanding in its match against U Mumba and put on a display of defense that will be talked about for years to come. All eyes were on Nitesh Kumar and Jeeva Kumar as to how they were going to tackle Siddharth Desai.
High 5’s form both of the defenders showed just how capable this U.P. Yoddha defense is and how effectively they could keep Siddharth Desai in check. The match turned U.P. Yoddha’s was after they inflicted an early all-out to build up a lead and then just kept a level head from there on in.
They never gave any of the U Mumba raiders any big multiple points raid while their own offense kept picking up points regularly as well.
The same set of players is going to be key in the match against Dabang Delhi K.C. as well. Nitesh Kumar and Jeeva Kumar will have to find a way to tackle Naveen Kumar as their primary threat in this game while Shrikanth Jadhav, Prashanth Kumar Rai, and Rishank Devadiga will have to find a way past some very experienced defenders on the other side.
As in their previous match, we think the performance of Nitesh Kumar and Jeeva Kumar will determine the difference between victory and defeat.
Dabang Delhi K.C. will be full of confidence after a brilliant performance in Eliminator 2. Dabang Delhi K.C. loves to start aggressively, build a lead, and then protect it as the match goes on but in their last match, they had to do the opposite.
They fell behind and had to stage a comeback in the second half.
Naveen Kumar scored another Super 10 and was at his best making the defenders look silly while Ravinder Pahal led the defense with some brilliant tackles.
One concern for Dabang Delhi K.C. will be over the fitness of Meraj Sheykh. He was injured in the first half of Eliminator 2 and did not play any further part in the match. If he is unfit for this match then that will leave a big hole in the Dabang Delhi K.C. side.
Someone like Chandran Ranjit will probably have to step up and make more plays if Meraj Sheykh is indeed unfit.
The role of Joginder Singh Narwal, Ravinder Pahal, and the covers for Dabang Delhi K.C. will have to ensure they don’t let U.P. Yoddha get any easy points because point scoring is not going to be easy for the Delhi raiders either.
Dabang Delhi K.C. has lost just one match in its last 8 matches while U.P Yoddha is unbeaten in its last 7. Both sides are in excellent form coming into this match. U.P Yoddha holds a 2-0 advantage over Dabang Delhi K.C. in Pro Kabaddi head to head matches.
It is quite difficult to pick between these two sides since they are in excellent form and playing brilliant Kabaddi at the moment. We believe that Dabang Delhi K.C. is perhaps the slightly better-rounded side and more versatile in its approach. They should be able to find a way past the strong U.P. Yoddha defense.
