This match will be the second time that the two sides are playing each other in Pro Kabaddi 6. The first encounter went the Telugu Titans way with a 34-29 victory. It was a match in which the Telugu Titans defense overshadowed everything else that happened as it completely dominated the proceedings.
U.P. Yoddha will have to fight very hard to avoid the same kind of fate in this match. Thankfully for U.P. Yoddha, its skipper, Rishank Devadiga returned to form in the last match and scored a Super 10. With Shrikanth Jadhav and Prashanth Kumar Rai also in good form, U.P Yoddha has a dangerous trio of Raiders to try and find a way past the awesome Telugu Titans defense.
Prashanth Kumar Rai has scored 69 points in 10 matches this season and has been next to unstoppable for the side. Attacking from the left-hand side, Rai can be very difficult to defend but needs to be careful coming up against Abozar Mighani from the Telugu Titans.
Shrikanth Jadhav also has 69 points this season and has led the U.P Yoddha offense very nicely with Prashanth Kumar Rai. Jadhav has a poor record against the Telugu Titans in the past, though, and that is something that could play a pivotal role in this game.
The Telugu Titans possess one of the best, if not the best, defensive units in this entire tournament. Skipper Vishal Bhardwaj leads the defense from the front and is entering this game in tremendous form. He scored 9 tackle points in the last game, the second most in the history of the Telugu Titans, and the most for any defender this season.
Vishal Bhardwaj has been averaging an unbelievable 4.33 tackle points per game in Pro Kabaddi 6 and is going to be a huge hurdle for the U.P. Yoddha raiders to overcome. Bhardwaj is not going to short of any support either as Abozar Mighani and Farhad Milaghardan are also formidable in defense.
The Telugu Titans rely on Rahul Chaudhari to lead the offense and he has the necessary experience to be able to guide the side to a win. He is also in good form, scoring 17 points in his last game, and is now the only player to score more than 750 points in Pro Kabaddi history.
The head to head between the two sides is firmly in favor of U.P. Yoddha. There have been four matches played between these two teams and U.P. Yoddha has emerged victorious in three of those encounters.
The Telugu Titans, though, won the last match against U.P Yoddha played earlier in the season and should be confident of repeating the result once again.
U.P. Yoddha depends on its excellent Raiding unit to win it the bulk of the matches while the Telugu Titans rely on its defense to shut the opponents down. The return to form of Rishank Devadiga is a huge plus for U.P. Yoddha going into this match. Having played a bruising match against the Bengal Warriors in the last game would have taken its toll, though.
